UKVE is an institution established by the London Vocational Education Management Committee in the late 19th century in response to the needs of the British industrial revolution and development policies, with the main task of standardizing industry standards and training vocational skills. At the beginning, UKVE was a guild association in nature, and then gradually developed into an industrial association management organization. From a historical perspective, UKVE has roughly gone through six stages of development, namely, six periods of gestation and establishment (1878~1889), rapid development (1890~1918), setbacks (1919~1933), becoming the mainstream (1934~1943), attention (1944~1972), and integration into the system (1973~).
Since the 1980s, the United Kingdom has gradually standardized various and established a qualification framework system integrating academic, vocational positions and training and learning paths based on several important domestic professional standards such as UKVE, and the experience and certification mode issued. UKVE, as an independent vocational education management system, is also integrated into the three major vocational systems in the United Kingdom in the direction of qualification development.
UKVE's headquarters office is located in London, providing services to individuals and organizations around the world.
